Welcome to my page.  You may notice there are no bells, no whistles, no bling or fancy-shmancy graphics/sparkling text/banners, and definitely no text/l33t speak.  Just simple  words on the screen.  This does not mean I'm boring; it simply means that 1) I am well past the age where such things appeal to me, and 2) I have no time to maintain such a page.

Just to cover the basics:

I am not against horse slaughter; I am against inhumane methods of horse slaughter.  As long as people are irresponsible with their horses- as long as they breed them indiscriminently, work them until they're injured or no longer useful, or buy them on a whim because they have more money than sense- there will be a need for businesses that maintain the horse population.  I do not always agree with their methods, or the reasoning behind their actions, but I recognize the unfortunate need for it.

I am an omnivore; I believe it is immature and insensitive to try to tell people what they can/can't eat, and if a country happens to include horses on their menu, then I believe they have as much of a right to it as we do to eat cows, chickens, pigs, and other animals.  We are not the world's moral compass, and it is the height of hypocracy to elevate one animal above another- in other words, that cow that comprises your McDonald's hamburger had as much of a right to live out its life in comfort as the horse that is being consumed overseas.

I admit that I am overeducated.  This gives me an exceptionally low tolerance for people who are incapable of (or unwilling to) communicating via the written word in a manner that is understandable without a translation program.  If you are interested in PM-ing me, please at least attempt to use appropriate punctuation, grammar, and spelling.

I have no real opinion about the Safe Haven.  I have made the unfortunate decision to send horses there, and have been disappointed to see horses that I sold sent there long before their time.  But I despise the "Buy this horse or I'll KILL IT!" tactics in both the public and private auctions.  Your horse should stand on its own merits; you shouldn't have to manipulate or guilt people into buying it.

Now that that's out of the way:

I currently breed Arabians, Hanoverians, Canadian Horses, Fresians, and Standardbreds.  I also have a small population of Mustangs and Donkeys.  The purebred horses I have personally had a hand in creating are under the following tabs/affixes:

Arabians (Summer NeverNever):    of Awnsidhe
Hanoverians (Winter NeverNever):   of Arctis Tor
Canadians (The Outer Gates):   of The Browncoats
Standardbreds (Fionavar's Furies):   of Paras Derval
Fresians (Realm of the Nazgul): of Angmar
Mustangs and Donkeys (Other Horses): of the Boardinghouse

I also have another affix for any crossbreed projects I'm working on; all my crossbreeds will be registered under of the Unification

All my purebred stallions will be available for breeding; however, I prefer to wait until they have a positive BLUP and at least half their training, so if someone catches your eye, please keep that in mind.  I'm very particular about who I breed my mares to; please do not send me unsolicited cover offers.  Check out individual pages for more information such as awards, offspring, and current skill levels.  I typically charge between 200-300e for a cover, depending on the horse.  PM me for more information on prices- please be sure to include the horse's name.

I will not be breeding my crossbreeds publicly, unless you have an overwhelming desire to use one of them.  PM me if you're of that mind.

I have a system for naming my horses (those who have names, of course).  If you can figure it out, you get extra coolness points.

Thank you for visiting!
