Have real world experience with horses and write about it in articles and other online places. There are many views and many ways to do things - and horses themselves can teach a lot if we listen.

A good horse is a good horse - and whether it's a reining horse doing a long slide, a race horse digging down for the last ounce of effort, a polo horse determined to give chase on a ball, a dressage horse performing a delicate maneuver, a jumper tackling a tough course, a gaited horse with animation appearing out of control or a cutting horse getting down after a cow - an athlete is an athlete. A horse doing what he loves to do is a joy - no matter what part of the industry.

For the horses who have - real world - been memorable this page can pay tribute. Thoroughbreds like Cousin's Nephew, Fiery Finish, Firing Point, Sweet Tempo, Five Star Roni, Sir Ghirardelli, Run Roni Run, "Gator", Wing Tip and many others including my own Seek The Stars and "Pepper". Saddlebreds like "Pepsi", Victory Pass, Mark of Victory, My Elegant Flair...and was blessed to have been able to work with Starheart Victory - what a character! A trip with the Black Hawk East community college judging team that included a stop at the Kentucky Horse Park, Spendthrift Farm and Claiborne farm was a chance to meet some of the greatest horses in the Thoroughbred breed hands on - Nashua, Affirmed, Seattle Slew, J.O Tobin, Exclusive Native, Riva Ridge, Spectacular Bid, Nijinsky II, Drone, Secretariat, Coastal had just been retired...just a few of the horses that were seen and so many now gone.

Pedigrees are great but it doesn't take a pedigree to make an impact - Little Joe, Sierra, Sissy, Sunny, Star, Doll and others each were patient in teaching.

For those interested in real horses as well as on here check out topics and links in my EC forum.

I do have a couple of stallions that are available to select mares - but you must make an effort. The mares should be over 350 GP; and have enough training to be +BLUP. If all you're looking to do is produce foals then there's plenty of available stallions for that - and the stallions here are not going to have 3-4-6 services offered to whomever has the money. I've taken the time to train and compete them and if you're not willing to do the same with your mare then it may not be the case with their offspring either.
