Welcome!
Welcome to my page! It’s been a while, and I’m genuinely surprised by how active this game still is. I’m pretty much new to the game again, since the last time I played was over 10 years ago.
Howrse goals
Honestly, I’m just exploring at the moment, trying out some objectives and seeing whether I’ll get back into the game or not. My starting point will be Paint Horses.
Origin of the name "Kaelpie"
Kaelpie is inspired by the rich folklore of Scotland and the mythical creatures that inhabit its lochs and rivers. In traditional Scottish legend the kelpie is a supernatural horse that dwells in lakes, rivers, and marshes. Kelpies are known for their power, beauty, and mystery: they often appear as sleek, strong horses, able to lure travelers to the water’s edge, embodying both danger and grace. It lures people (especially children) onto its back, only to drag them to a watery death
My affix “Drocht na Vougha” draws directly from an ancient Scottish folk tale. The phrase can be roughly translated as “the bridge of the water spirits” or “bridge of the kelpies”, and comes from stories collected in northern Scotland.
About me and my horses
I’m 25 years old and live in the Netherlands. Besides this game, I also enjoy other games like Valorant, Battlefield 6, Planet Zoo, and more. I run an animal rescue for rats, and I’m lucky to share my life with a variety of animals, including dogs, bunnies, and, of course, horses!
My American Paint horse is also called Kelpie (LC Tecum Lucky Kelpie), born in 2023, and his father is LG Tecumseh King Jack. Alongside this beauty, my mom and I care for a herd of five horses: three are mine, and the other two belong to my mom. Here is a group picture of the herd. From left to right Salvador (Icelandic X Welsh, gelding, 18yo, mine), Farandi (Icelandic, gelding, 3yo, mom), Kelpie (Amarican Paint, gelding, 2yo, mine), Maeve (Mix, mare, 5yo, mine), Rán (Icelandic, mare, 5yo, mom)
