The "J" in my username is in memory of Jonas, my Friesian Thoroughbred who is pictured above. We found each other when we were both five years old, and he was our family heart horse for 17 incredible years. My mom started with him, my dad stole him, and then I stole him! Together we evented through Training Level, spent countless days fox hunting, and made memories I'll treasure forever. In 2022, I had to say goodbye after he developed severe ringbone arthritis, and I still think about him everyday. 

The "S" is for Sidney, my Paint mare who built my confidence from the ground up. She carried me around Novice courses as if it were effortless, and taught me how much joy there is in simply trusting your horse. We sold her in my teens since I outgrew her, and the woman we sold her to still sends us updates. 

I grew up fox hunting with my family (shoutout to my mom for creating this life and space for me), and horses have always been the reason we made it through. Now that I have graduated college, I have a year off to ride, rave and travel, so I thought I should get back into a game I loved growing up!
