They may be significant, small, white, red, brown, grey, black, or a mixture of such different colors.
They can be found in every country in the world.
Especially Arabian Horse is very famous for its ability to run very fast from others.
About Them and Their Lifestyle
Youngs horses or baby horses are called “Foals.” Generally, a mother horse gives birth to 1 or exceptionally two foals at a time.
And the period of pregnancy to the birth of a foal is almost 11 months for an average female horse, which may be less or higher depending upon their breed.
Horses were domesticated by humans some 5000 years ago. Humans had their first horse as domestic animals in around 3000 BC.
The life span of horses is 25 to 30 years depends upon their living conditions.
Horses like to live in grassy areas or fields where they can eat grass, leaves, and other greenery in the area.
Generally, horses are kept in “Stable.” It is a building in which exceptionally horses are preserved and made up of wood. This building divides different animals in their ‘Mews.’
Uses of Horse by Humans
Humans use horses in many different ways.
One of them is traveling or riding on their backs.
In ancient times horses were used in wars as soldiers used to go on them in the battlefields to fight with enemies.
Nowadays, horses are used in sports as they are great runners. They are used in games like Sports Polo, horse Riding, Equestrian, etc
In India, horses are used for pulling carts and also on farms.
After the death of a horse, we also obtain their bones, skins, and hairs, which are used for making medicine, carpets, and other leather materials.
Behavior of Horses
Horses are generally a prey animal. Who has developed his fight-or-flight response-ability, which helps him to attack while he is in a threat?
Their first reaction to threat is to flee. And sometimes, they fight for their ground or grassland and can also compete for their child or foals.
Because of their physiology, horses are suitable for many works and entertainment also.
Some particular breeds of horses are very quiet and beautiful. Most horses who are domesticated for pulling carts or as a personal pet in farms are adorable.
And horses prepared for only sports are not always quiet.
Horses also don’t need an extended period for sleep, but they can sleep in naps of a short time.
In a day, horses stand almost for four to fifteen hours.
