I usually primarily breed thoroughbreds - riders of rohan. I prefer to BLUP my mares (my girls fr). When I'm bored, I'll BLUP a stallion. However, the game has felt heavily saturated with TBs - maybe that is just due to my gaming style - so right now I am going to focus on a few other breeds.
akhal au teke is going to be one of my special projects - I did not realize how low the breed was in popularity and I feel like I need to step out of my comfort zone.
I am also going to focus on my Knabstruppters - overgrown dalmations - as well as my KWPNs - keuring's process.
Everything else is bred for my color coat trophies. I breed all my horses similarly (for color coats):
- Mares are only bred to public offering stallions with 100 BLUP, highest available GP, and lowest cost.
- For some breeds, my options are very limited, so I will breed >-30BLUP stallions (specifically Hackneys for some reason)
- I do not choose stallions based on their coat rarity.
- I start breeding my mares immediately at 2yrs6months
- I do not breed my own stallions into my own lines. All my stallions that I BRED offer public coverings.
- I do not mix breeds. This feels like cheating for color coats. I have always tried to play this way since I started this game.
To make my life more difficult I have Tarpan's stupid benefit. Obviously, the way that I breed is not very compatible with coat rarity. I like the challenge of chance.
