My midlife crisis purchase was a pretty little blue roan pintaloosa. This is the first horse I've owned since I was a teenager and I think I'm in love lol.  She's about 14 to 14 2 hands and plenty big for me.  Her name is Emma and she came out of Georgia.  I feel extremely lucky to have found her 2a1af738d56da555be74920210e2babc.png?975083578.  I ride both western and lower level dressage.  She is different for me as she has been trained to neck rein so we are learning together.

The lady I got her from tells me she was a rescue.  She was still underweight when I got her, but is now nearly back up to where she should be.  Her topline still needs to fill out some, but she's almost starting to look chubby.  I spent most of the summer riding bareback, that was much like riding a 2x4 on the narrow side to start with, but she was so thin I really didn't want to add the weight of a saddle to my weight.  Starting next week we will be moving to a light weight dressage saddle and as she builds muscle I will switch to the heavy western trail saddle.
