*** Just so everyone knows, I will probably be less active on Howrse now. I need more time to focus on school, and this is too much of a distraction. I will most definitely still be coming on, I just won't be getting on as much. ***

What I'm Currently Doing With My Howrse Game

Most important info. is bolded, the rest is mostly for myself, just to be able to read where I'm going and what I'm doing with my game is nice.

So, since I've gotten more time to play howrse, I've been making changes. I'm refining my training method, I shut down custom foals because it didn't parallel the way I wanted to play my game, I've been working on actually understanding coat percentages and training bonuses... So yeah, I've been taking my game more seriously. It's still just a game, just less of a trivial one to me now.

I've been going into auctions and taking cheap, purebred gypsy foals, which is honestly a stupid idea. None of them are skilled, nothing, no inbred skills or anything. Someone's just breeding them and selling them cheaply. But of course, I see a 1, 2, 3, 5% coat and I'm done for. But I'm actually a bit excited about all of these new gypsy foals. They're like a blank slate for me to found a new generation upon. 99% percent of them don't have affixes, which excites me, it shows (even though I can't put my personal affix on them) that I was the one who got them to where I want them to be, and that I was the one who made something of them, which to me, is something to be proud of, considering how long it can take to train and skill. With this new generation of gypsies, I'm thinking of starting a breeding group (or maybe just a nice, strong line). I want to get all of these new babies skilled and BLUPed, or at least partially so, before I even seriously entertain the thought of going through with this, but it seems like a possibility.

I'm currently going through my ponies (mainly chincos) and selecting a handful of them to focus on skilling alongside my gypsies. It's mostly based on age, coat color (1% and 2% only), and how skilled/trained they already are. The horses I've selected range from not even two, to twenty-three, so it's definitely a diverse bunch. I do, however, hope to skill them all and hopefully get a new chinco line started. If anyone's interested in sort of working with me on this, just ask. I'm happy to act as an "apprentice" of sorts, or even a mentor to those who have just begun breeding chincos.

Well, for those of you who cared enough to read all of that rambling and useless information, thank you, and for those who didn't and just skipped to the end... I would have done the same thing.

My name is Olivia, baby-ice-ice on Howrse. I have a hamster, a dog, and two rats living in my house at the moment. I wish I knew how to ride horses, heck, I wish I got to spend time with horses. Alas, it is not so. If you congratulate me I'll congratulate you! If I miss your congrats feel free to PM me with a reminder!

I breed gypsies, chincos, newfies, and marwaris, but right now, with a little less time to spend on the internet, I'm focusing on my gypsies and trying to spend more time with marwaris. I've spent a lot of time on this game, albeit with my major hiatuses of old, and I don't have as much to show for it as I'd like. I'm working on training horses, but it's a frustratingly slow process.

***reconsidering prices and services as I work on refining my training method***

I am now offering training services. You sell the horse you want trained to me for 500 equus, then after I finish training them I sell them back to you (in private sales of course). I will train in each of the six fields (Stamina, Speed, Dressage, Gallop, Trot, and Jumping). There is an initial fee of 500e to get your horse back after training, and then another 1,000e for each field in which I completed their training. You have to PM me with the name of the horse you want trained, what fields you want them trained in before selling them to me.

***This service won't be back in business, but I've left this here for everyone to see. I've been taking my howrse game more serious for awhile now, and I just don't see this "custom foals" service as consistent with taking my game seriously. Not all of my horses have hit 100 BLUP, which is what I like horses to have before I breed them, but with this service, people can choose any two parents, 100 BLUP or not. For that reason, and other reasons, custom foals is shutting down, and I can't say that it will ever be back. Thank you to those who ordered awhile back, and I hope you're enjoying your foal, and to those who were entertaining the thought of ordering, I'm sorry.***

Safe Haven. I never put horses in Safe Haven. Direct sales. All horses of mine in direct sales will be sold for eqqus *and sometimes pass*, but they will always be negotiable. The Auctions. If you see a horse you are interested that's in auctions THAT HAS NOT BEEN ALREADY BID ON just PM me with your offer and I'll put 'em in reserved sales for you. *NOTE: If I have to take a horse out of auctions for you it will be sold to you for more eqqus than I put it in auctions for.* BM item horses go for a fair price (unless they only have a couple items and/or their items are not very valuable). I don't want ridiculous offers for my horses. You have to understand that I may not want to sell a specific horse. But I may sell their offspring if you are interested.
