DK Ranch
DK ranch is my way to bring quality and rare colored horses to the game. I would like DK Ranch to be known for multiple different breeds of high quality horses. I started out breeding all my horses to raise my numbers but now have only been breeding 100 BLUP horses. They are all for sale (for the right price). I will be fair with pricing, just message me with the link to the horses page and we can make a deal. While I have bred many different breeds, I am currently focusing on Irish Hunters. The breeds of the past are just breeds I have bred before but am not currently breeding. There is always a chance I will start one or several of the old breeds back up. (I usually always fall back on the Paint horses eventually)

I am always looking for fertility wands for my donkey and draft projects.
Studs available for sale or coverings.
I am not interested in joining a team at the moment While I enjoy breeding and blupping on a team, I prefer to play at my own pace right now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

My Past Game
I have been playing Howrse for a very long time. I have taken some breaks but always seem to come back and play some more. I have always seemed to breed paints. I started the team Frozen In Tyme and we bred thousands of really nice paints. Our paints were some of the best in the game. I also bred lots of Trakehners. I started the team Extra Terrestrial Trakes and had lots of success breeding and competing with them. Over the years I bred many, many horses and have experimented with many different breeds and even cross breeds.
About Me
I am an adult female player. I am happily married and have a baby girl. We currently have 3 dogs and 2 horses. I am a Veterinary Technician and do lots of horse and small animal (dog/cat) work. I grew up on a small farm and raised my fair share of goats, poultry, and dairy calves. I have had horses for most of my life. If you have any animal questions, I'm your gal. Shoot me a message, I'm here to help in any way I can.
FYI: DK is mine and my husbands initials.
I love talking/bragging about my pets so here goes:
My Dogs:
Tiny is our 5 year old mixed breed brindle thing haha. Our best breed guess is Pitbull/Lab/Hound.
Maci is our 10 year old yellow lab.
Annie is our 3 year old Miniature Dachshund.
My Horses:
Briar is my heart horse. I rescued her from a local auction in 2014 when she was 4 years old. We trained each other. I still have her to this day and always will. She is a red roan tobiano paint mare. We grew up together and have always taken care of each other. Briar and I have played around with some western gaming (not competitively) and some arena work but our main pleasure is trail riding. Briar and I have a great bond of trust that I can't explain. I know I will never have quite the same bond with another horse ever again so I treasure every day I have with Briar. She is quirky but I love (almost) every quirk. Briar's personality is very similar to mine. You always hear that animals take to their humans personality but its weird to actually notice it. She is the best trail horse, in my opinion. We have had lots of fun adventures growing up together.
Jax is my 3 year old Quarter horse. He is a beautiful Palomino gelding. (His picture is my profile pic) I bred and raised him. (Briar is not his mom but has pretty much raised him) He is such a handsome young man and loves going out with Briar and I on trail rides. This little guy will probably turn into my husbands horse. He is super easy going and has been doing great under saddle. I have ridden him on a couple trail rides so far and he has done great. I am excited to keep riding him but want to take it easy until he grows up more.
Its an amazing experience breeding them and waiting for them to be born. Then teaching and training him from day 1. Watching him grow, then being able to ride him and have him do great under saddle. I wouldn't trade it for the world.
The Real Deal Breeding Farm
You may have noticed the breeding farm in the DK Ranch tab called "The Real Deal". This is my special breeding farm holding the howrses similar to the ones I have owned in real life. While they are not exactly the same, they are as close as I could get them on this game. Here is a little history on the actual horses in the order I have owned them:
Rebel - An older palomino QH gelding with a little star on his forehead. He was my very first horse given to me as a Christmas present when I was 12. He turned out to be way to energetic of a horse for me, as I was just learning to ride. We gave him to another gal at the barn who was better suited to him.
Briar - A red roan tobiano paint mare. Got her from a local auction in 2010 and have had her since. She has always been my best partner.
Mohawk - A bay Shetland gelding with two hind socks. I got him to keep Briar company. I trained him and broke him to ride. Ended up giving him to a friend after I adopted Sidney.
Sidney - A sorrel QH mare with a perfect stripe down her head. She also had a left hind sock, some white on right hind and a white mark on her front right cannon bone. She was adopted 10 months pregnant in 2014. The sweetest most loving horse I have ever had. She had 3 foals over the course of 8 years while I owned her. She is living in retirement right now.
Sam - A sorrel QH gelding with a star and one front sock. Born in 2014, I owned him for 6 years and trained him. He was then sold to a gal who is using him as a trail and pleasure horse.
Crash - A solid sorrel QH gelding. The second foal I have raised. He was born in 2020 and I sold him to a western pleasure show home as a yearling.
Octavia - A bay QH mare I rescued and rehabbed. She had a small star on her head. She had a ligament injury and is now healed but retired.
Oakley - A dun QH mare with a skinny stripe down her head and one short hind sock. She was used as a broodmare until I got her at age 12 years. I put 3 months of training on her and got her weight back where it needed to be. She was then sold to someone who is continuing her training.
Remi - A Bay QH/Draft mare. Her dam was full QH and sire was Percheron/Shire/Clydesdale cross. She had a large star on her head and two hind socks and one front sock. I got her from the local horse auction as an unhandled yearling. Kept her 6 months and trained her as much as I could for her age. She was super easy going. Sold her to a girl who is making a trail horse out of her.
Jax - A palomino QH gelding with a stripe down his head, one hind sock, and some white on one front foot. He is my third baby I bred and raised, and Sidney's final foal. He is a handsome, loving boy who has been living his best life.
