Charli Rae Gore

June 20 1995 To April 15 2011

Before I tell you all about myself... I'm going to tell you about my best friend..

My best friend's name was Charli Gore. Earlier this year (2011) in April... She was killed... She was fifteen years old. The reason why she was killed you ask? Well.. The man was in his 40's and so was his gf. He had had a few drinks and thought Charli was pretty. Well his girlfriend got mad. He followed her in his car while she walked home. She saw his headlights coming and she walked down into a steep ditch.. Well he followed her into the ditch and hit her with his car.. TWICE. And left her there in that cold ditch to die.. He was caught that same day. He and his girlfriend were trying to hide the car and were taking the license plates off. The girl is free but he's in jail on manslaughter charges... To me and to her family and her other friends, this "manslaughter" Charge is a slap to the face. We all know he wasn't drunk enough to not know what he was doing. He murdered a beautiful young lady with bright blue eyes and the most heart warming smile. He murdered the best friend a girl could ever ask for. He murdered the little sister I never got to have. I know that his soul is damned and that not even the devil will welcome him into the deepest darkest pits of Hell. But I miss Charli every day that I'm alive. And I wish to God that I could talk to her one last time. This poem is for her:

Do not stand at my grave and weep

I am the diamond glints on snow
