How do I use a Hermes' Winged Staff ? I have a couple in my inventory, but I cannot figure out how to use them.

It means when you are going to put an item on your horse, the Hermes' Staff is one of the paying methods.

For example if I choose to put Medusa's Blood on my horse to make it a Pegasus, AND I have a Hermes' Winged Staff, I can choose from 3 paying methods:
* With a Medusa's Blood from my inventory (you have 4)
* With 95 passes (you have 683)
* With a Hermes' Winged Staff from my inventory (you have 1)
If you don't have a Staff in your inventory, of course you only see 2 paying methods.

So you start with the horse or the item you want to use, and from there you automatically see how you can pay for it.
As said in the description on the page: there are items a Staff is not usable for. If it is not in Item Exchange, you can't use a Staff as payment.
It shows up as a payment option you can use for a Black Market item, next to passes or that item, if in inventory.

Go to the item you wish to buy, and select the Staff as payment, instead of passes. It can only be used on items that can be bought for passes, and that are also exchangeable. Tyche's Crowns for example can't be bought with a Staff because it is not exchangeable
