When you prune a Plant Kingdom Divine, you only receive one of their prize. Doubling, tripling, quadrupling, etc. the skill requirement will still only give you one of whichever prize they offer, so you're actually prolonging the time it takes you to get the reward. Also note that whatever "extra" skills the horse has when pruned don't carry over, the skills always reset to 0 across the board, so going any amount over is just a waste of resources. This means you sometimes need to give a smaller amount of droppings, prune, and then give the remaining allowable droppings for the day so as not to waste anything.
