His name was candy spots and he was an appy. I rode him when I was 7!
The very first horse I rode that I remember was named Rusty, absolutely no clue what type of horse he was...probably a cross. I rode him when I was around 6/7?

The first horse I ever actually rode was a beautiful and gentle gelding named Tiny. He was 34 years old at the time and unfortunately died a few months later. I rode him when I was ten.

The first horse I ever sat on while someone walked him around was named Magic, and that was for my fifth birthday.

The first horse I rode was named Misty, but that was a very long time ago so I don't remember her all that well. So instead I'll go with the first horse I ever showed. Her name is Jenny, she is 22 now, but was younger at the time. She was a bay with no markings, and I rode her on gaming events at the Skagit County Fair.

She and I got Grand Champion in every event for our first ever year of showing! I was very proud of her. default smiley :-))

She ended up developing leg issues. Here's the background story: She used to be a pro barrel racer, she went all around in shows, but then her old owner took her to a show and Jenny slipped and fell and ended up straining her legs. Plus the old owner let her founder because they didn't care about her default smiley :k When we got her she was still in pretty good condition, but we used special spirts boots (not your regular sports medicine boots) and we kept her on bute, though she wasn't in much pain. After 2 years though, she started going downhill, and then the owner wanted her back, saying they were, "going to show her in barrel races." And that they didn't care if it hurt her. default smiley (o)I miss her so much, and I hope that the lady doesn't ruin her more...default smiley :'(
Heidi, I was only 3 and she is 15.2hh! I didn't have anyone holding onto me either I just held the saddle but someone led her round

OMG!!!!! thats so uncool if they wanted to barrel race they should have really taken care of her better. You should file a law suit and suew them for animal abuse get a trusted vet to back you up. That takes a ton of money though.

The first horse I ever rode was the horse of my aunt. I don't remember the name or the breed or even the gender. I was like 3? It was a black horse that's all I know.

But the horse I first really rode. Like alone with someone leading the horse was Bux. A Arabian mare. I found her huge. She was really fast but so sweet. I learned how to actually ride on her. How to gallop etc. It was great default smiley :)
The first horse I ever sat on was my mom's horse Rebel when I was I think around 1 year old. I don't remember much about him except that he was black.

The first horse I rode was when I was around 7-8 I would cool down my mom's performance mare Dancer after competitions. She was a dun appaloosa with a beautiful spotted blanket, who was absolutely nuts for team penning competitions, but was also super weirdly good with children.

Harold. An old grey gelding was my first lesson horse. But I did ride a black pony named Teddy when I was 3. I kept leading him under this low hanging cherry blossom, and the flowers would fall on his mane and the saddle! HAHA!
