Finally a post just for us cross breeders. The purpose of this topic is for cross breeders to have a place to discuss their crossbreeding programs and to share crossbreeding secrets and advice with others who may be interested in giving crossbreeding a try. Feel free to talk about your crossbreeding programs and your achievements and failures in crossbreeding.
Please remember to follow the rules of the forum and be informative and helpful. default smiley :-))

*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*/*

Reminder to all.

Please do not advertise sales or items wanted in this topic. I can turn a blind eye to the covers being offered (as long as they are not blatant advertisements) because we are, after all, trying to help each other progress and there is no filter on public covers for searching for crosses, but items sales and items wanted do not belong in any of the public forums and we have a sales forum for horse sales so please, lets keep our topic clean of the ads.

Thanks everyone

There are reasons for rules and everyone is expected to follow them. There will be no posting of advertisements in this topic and everyone is expected to be respectful. Any disrespect towards fellow players or moderators will not be tolerated. Anyone posting advertisements will receive a forum ban without prior warning. If breaking of rules continues to take place in this topic I will delete it.

Thank you
zepharo

If anyone has personal issues with another player, or needs something back from another player(items/passes), other than covers/fills-please take it to private pms...anymore posting here will mean an instant forum ban without a warning.

Edit by pixiesbite

A reminder that this is not the place for trading/buying/selling BMI, horses or advertising or asking for someone to train your horse.
If any of these things occur, you will be forum banned without prior warning.

Gouldilox you might want to check out some of my speed cross's if your interested in the rankings. I have a vanner and various arab ones.

Or check out my crossbred breeders tab and see if there is anything there that meets your fancy. I have all sorts of weird stuff.

Brairrider try standie, as they have high trot, speed and stamina so dressage isn't in the top 3 skills

Well..

Meet the Monster

All there is left to do is Games and lessons which shouldn't be too bad since I will do that together instead of games before training and lessons after. I lag that way because things get boring.

Also need to find him a Coat and Ray and he will be finished.
Traded a Bolt for a CT! Yay! I can train my newest cross; http://www.howrse.com/elevage/fiche/?id=20144757 I rarely use Bolts anyway. default smiley (lol) Excited now!

Well, you get extra GP from games, which gives a little bit more total skill. And if you are breeding, it gives a little more GP and inborn skills to the foal, since you gain 1.2 GP on the horse from when it is born. And if you are going for skill boards, every fraction of a GP point helps.

bluetempest - the fifth estate has one

So good to be back after a 3 day ban on the forums for "so-called" excessive colourful language!

bluetempest I have a 3-year-old stally that is 1/2 Standie, 1/4 Friesian, and 1/4 Hano. Here is a link to him:
Above the Standard

If he is not what you are looking for, take a look at my Project 200 tab; they all have Friesian (I think) and I know there are a few Standies in there. You might find one that you like.

Well...so much for going through games and lessons quickly. That has to be about the only downside to training other than a horse who wont win. It is sooo booooring. Well, at least its worth it in the end.
I'm going to start breeding with Gypsy Vanners as I breed Gypsy unis, but I'm thinking of crossbreeding them default smiley :)

Starting my crossbreed project next month.... But sad to be giving up my Lusis and Arabs. If anyone has any crossbreeding tips, pm ME. Thanks

aj17jh17- Check out Xellossnut's forim for crossbreeding tips.

So, Monster can easily make two more RD ranks if I can get my giddy up and finish him completely. But I think I may wait or do it slowly. I cany really cross anything for a whole so I dont want to rush it and then have nothing to do.
I'm going to use my Gypsy Vanner filly rejects for my crossbreeding default smiley ^)

I'll start to breed one of them to an Arabian, one to a Connie and one to a Lusi default smiley ^)

What do you think???
