Welcome the Japanese divine horses!

Japanese Divines

Help us welcome our newest divine collection, the Japanese divines! Each horse from this series is inspired by an element of Japanese tradition.

Starting off the series is our handsome Samurai. He will give you Omikujis every day when he wakes up (similar to the divination aspect of the Celtic collection). You will then have to choose a prize from those on offer. He can’t be sold and his skills can increase through the use of passes.

How can you obtain this new Japanese divine, Samurai?

He is available from the Golden Fleece in parallel with the Japanese Ruins event. (Be careful as this is the first time a divine isn’t the jackpot of the contest.)
As Samurai will be hiding within this luck item, those who’re unlucky in winning him outright can benefit from the new divine fragments.

How to get the Divine Fragments?

By opening the Golden Fleeces

During the contest as there are several doors that contain them

Unlocking commercial offers during the contest that will increase the number of divine fragments that you can receive.

To win the divine, Samurai, you will need to fill his fragment gauge, which requires 1,000 fragments.

Have fun collecting him and/or his fragments!

Best of Luck,

The Howrse Team

Nevermind I actually see now his skills are that high normally. Bloody insane maybe that's why he cost so many passes. default smiley :o

@Jigsaw Kramer are you telling me that they DID give you Samurai? AND you spent god-only-knows how many passes to skill him up despite feeling ripped off?

He didn't have him earlier. Maybe he'll let us know how he got him.

Isle, since you're on my profile lurking, you can feel free to read the presentation where it says they gave him to me after i had to throw a fit cuz the gauges, were in fact, faulty.

Hello,

Generally, we try to stay out of these types of disputes. However, we feel it's important to correct this claim.

No player has been manually credited with Samurai due to an error, or for any reason, on this or any English version of Howrse.

If anyone does feel that there is a problem with their Samurai Fragment meter, please use contact us to report it. At this time, there are no known issues.

Regards,
ZOwey

Mhm. Okay. Nice censorship job there. Well, let the Japanese divines come, this was a truly great tone-setter. I'm totally feeling like buying passes to support all of this. default smiley :@

Has anyone even gotten a timer out of him so far? What's the drop rate on his items?

I ended up with 4 or 5 Samis on Preprod. A couple of them dropped timers right before preprod ended, those being the first two I got. Bearing in mind that a lot of divines come 'half loaded' I think that would fit with a drop rate of about once a month. That's a guess of course...

You'll get coloured tack several times in that period though, plus a small (some of them very small of course!) gift every day.

The team has not credited anyone with Samurai.

Those who have Samurai got him because they filled the Samurai Fragment bar by one method or another.

There have not been any exceptions.

That actually is of interest to me, is the colored tack the same white tack that's in the Ruins, or can it be any color?

It came in a wide variety of colours!

Really wish a +1,000 pass UFO would come my way! I want this divine to start off a collection of Japanese divines since my husband loves Japan and their culture... I tried and spent 2,000 passes already to get him and not even 300 fragments still default smiley :$

Keep collecting from the contest. There should be a double fragments boost somewhere in there and maybe next weekend will bring the UFOs

A word to the wise:

I just spent about 4000 passes to get him and got nothing..I could have bought a gazillion
CTs with those lol..

Fortunately I gave up spending real money on passes back when I realised what Howrse/Ubisoft was doing..but still I would say that is egregious..default smiley (n)default smiley (b)

AGAIN!!!!

DON'T open fleeces until you've completed the ruins, unless you have money to burn. The ruins contain 682 fragments and a 2X multiplier for what you get from the fleeces. It was possible to get all those fragments and the multiplier for free (though that won't be true if you are starting now of course...)

@ Piaffe and Painted Lady: suggest you play the ruins for the time left, and see how much you have at the end before making any further decisions (or spending).

I keep seeing this but how do you get 682 fragments from the contest. I’m just not seeing it.

Anyways, I’m on floor 48 out of 120 floors. Now that I can get two points per strike every 2 hrs I’m making quick work. I have 3 tools saved so far, should I put them towards 3 points or 2 points per hour?

You would be better off taking the final Charge Time upgrade (1 hour per charge) before the final Drill Power upgrade (3 per strike). The 2 hour charge time is 3x the efficiency of the default, while the drill power is necessarily less than 3x because of odd-cost doors reducing its efficiency.

I had held out hope for the potential of the first Drill Power upgrade, as it could have been better with a more even door distribution, but the most powerful order of upgrades would appear to be:

- Charge Time Tier 2
- Charge Time Tier 3
- Drill Power Tier 2
- Drill Power Tier 3
- Capacity Tier 2
- Capacity Tier 3

As it turns out, there are a lot of odd-cost doors. While it was possible for the first Drill Power upgrade to have outperformed the second Charge Time upgrade, due to the timing of their acquisition, the Charge Time upgrade won out because of how things played out during the event. A plethora of low-cost and odd doors reduced the potential of the drill upgrade during the period where you only have one of these upgrades. I estimate the difference to be 1-3 clicks in Charge Time's favour, at this point. I am still only in Room 59 but also using RowanGreen's room data.

Question! Are the fragments we are getting now during this event, ONLY for samurai? or can they be used later on for other divines in this collection?

As far as we know the fragments are only for Samurai.

I was prepod on this and well minus the lots of passes (which were helpful). I'm saying this for all of the players bad at math : use crystals
and make sure you have ten or twenty gold fleece. That's what it took to win two.
