New: Divine Dust!

Divine Dust

As conveyed several times, we have added an additional way to get divine horses that are offered through special marketing offers, if you’re very unlucky. Divine dust are in luck items promotions, and each type of luck item has its own divine dust.

When you open a luck-based item and don’t find the highlighted divine on offer, you get the divine dust instead! Divine dust accumulates within a gauge that you can see directly from each of the luck items’ description pages. When the meter is full, you win the divine!

If you have not filled it before the offer ends, the dust earned disappears and cannot be used for another one (the meter will start empty when a new divine is offered). Additionally, once you have won the divine (via luck or the divine dust) there isn’t anymore dust left to find in the luck item.

Starting today and through this weekend, you can find the Celtic divine Cernunnos hiding in the Golden Fleece; including the Golden Fleece divine dust.

I hadn't seen this post and voiced my feelings in the wrong place so I'll re post here so that everyone is made aware of what lurks under the false attraction on the Divine Dust

''The same thing is going on with the Divine Dust. What a fool trap that one is .....I have tried 12 Titan 's and only manage to get 239 toward the 1000 points it needs so that is an average of less then 20 point per 200 pass spent.I will need around 50 Titan's to get the bar full so that means a 1000 pass.I am not buying into that .... anymore. What a default smiley (n) Howrse as become .....''

I opened 8 Titan Challenge which in total gave only 163 divine dust. And if I undertand right the divine dust will be lost if I dont collect all 1000 for current divine on TChallange! which is totally unfair!! default smiley :-x

The dust seems to be great idea. But I think Howrse has put the 'safety net' too high. Most people want this to be something that protects them from paying more than a divine is worth. They've pitched it as a protection against paying more than twice (or more) as much as a divine is worth. This might make sense when you consider odds: many people are going to get it before they get the full amount of dust. However the high level makes it too high to be of use to most players.

Disappointing to say the least.

This WAS a good idea until you made the safety net 3x what the divine was actually worth. You'd NEVER make back what you spent working the divine daily (especially if Howrse keeps going downhill at this pace......) default smiley (lol)

The divine dust is a sad attempt at appeasing players.
Their "safety net" is a great concept if only they hadn't failed miserably at executing it. At the rate my calculations are going, you would need around 10,000 passes (100 old ones) to fill up the meter. Why... It's a divine that gives you 1,200 a passes a year. With Friday the 13th, say around 1,400 (if there is only one Friday 13th that year). That means it will take an average of 7 years, give or take, to earn back what you spent. Way to go Howrse. Excellent safety net.

I am very, very disappointed in how little divine dust you earn with each luck item. The 'safety net" is far too high, the amount the luck items give is far too low. I saw many players saying the same thing on the test server, though in my time there, I, unfortunately missed the testing of the divine dust. This system definitely needs to be revised if it were to work. I spent a great deal of passes this morning, and didn't even reach 500 divine dust for my efforts--let alone the divine.

I love the idea of the divine dust, I really do, but it needs revised, badly.

And $80(real money) later only at 660 devine dust and still haven't won the devine in the BMI either..... Honestly I think you guys messed with the odds I've never spent this much at a time trying to get a devine and I'm a very very unhappy player... You already are a very pay to win game but this is getting ridiculous.

I spent 30 passes and one TC from exchanging with a scale and got him. Probably not worth it but first divine I have ever tried to get!

Do you mean 30 old passes? I think that's actually a pretty good deal. I spent 68 old passes getting him, so I'm a little disappointed.

I opened 3 Tc’s and each time I received a different amount of divine dust, why is that the case. Shouldn’t you get the same amount each time, that means that some players will end up opening more luck items than others to fill the meter. That’s certainly not fair.
Again Howrse has failed miserably. They just don’t seem to have a clue how to get these things right. The amount you need is way way too high to start with. default smiley :@

Took me 89 passes to get Croesus; that was how much it took to fill up the meter. The Divine Dust was a great idea in theory, but the fact that each Titan's gave you anywhere between 17-27 pieces of dust to reach a target of 1000 is just madness.

Against my better judgement I wasted passes trying to get the divine because I thought that at least I would get divine dust and after a reasonable number of fails I would have enough dust to get him. However, after seeing of little divine dust I got for each fail and calculating I would need to use 100 of the old passes to fill the meter I quickly abandoned that whole idea.
The bar is set WAY too High and is FAR, FAR too expensive!

Good idea but bad execution. This game gets less interesting by the day.

@ herblackwings

No need to be condescending towards other players, that's not what this thread is about. If you don't actually have a comment or opinion that relates directly to the thread, then you should refrain from making a comment at all default smiley (o) I believing that's considered 'trolling'default smiley (n)

The concept of the Divine Dust as a back up to acquiring the Divine is solid, but of course Howrse have to go that one step further and make it totally dysfunctional and out of reach for most players.
It should be exactly how the Lottery Divine works, you get about 10 tries at it via the Luck BMI and if you still don't have it then you could buy if for 9 passes in your private sales. I'm sure that's what we were all expecting when the introduction of the Divine Dust was announced......

At first I thought the divine dust was going to be great. But now that I've wasted about 20 passes (the equivalent of the old passes) and have only filed my meter to about 200, I'm extremely dissatisfied!!! Honestly I would like a refund on some of those passes.

100 Divine Dust, which means that Tarpan is at about 10-15 HoPs default smiley :)

Nalu, you got 100? I got about 60-70 each HOP I think (got Tarpan after 6)

Still a much better rate than the last, but Tarpan would be considered a low grade divine by most I think. His perk appeals to me so I'm happy.

I just started an account on the Italian server a few days ago, so must go and try my one Xanthos HOP I've got there!

I got 70, 75, 57, 60 and 104 and 108, then about 70-90 per HoP, so yeah, the ratio was pretty good, especially compared to the other Dust Divines we had.

Thanks Nalu! So I was slightly unlucky on the dust... but didn't need it as I got the divine before the bar filled!

I think I'm doing good on the Italian server: got most of my objectives done, so I'm well on my way to getting the business key, and I'm saving the equus for when I do! Probably won't be in the forum so much, as I don't actually speak Italian! Picking up a few words though, and speaking some French and google translate helps me get by!

Ok what in the world is the team trying to do i know they need passes to run this game but having so many passes to get this divine. An yet alone they have on reserve a horse that costs 900 passes. I know it is the pass buyers who suport this game but there is allot of players who can not aford to spend real money who would love just once a reserved horse with only equus coins to buy it.

900 passes is not that much, you just need to save up. But Croesus for example was a bit too expensive..
