On PreProd they were 5 passes for 3 Joker cards, 1 Bronze, 1 Silver, and 1 either Diamond or Gold.

I'm almost certain that Libra will be the last Zodiac horse we'll learn about, since he/she will be the offspring of two others. It's a bummer, but we'll have to wait. >:[

If you go to your account and then My Cards, you can see all of the cards revealed there.

I looked at the oldest cards and notice the 'Cowbra'. I can't find any to look at. I would really like to learn a bit about it, does anyone have a info on it?

He was given to one player only on the server via a card pack back in 2009 or or 2008. His skills were around 2000 or so and there was only one in existence on the server. However, the player who had him didn't log into Howrse for the longest time and I think the account was deleted due to inactivity. If you google "Howrse, Cowbra" you can find lots of info on him that way.

Diamond Apples are a Black Market item that let the user customize the horse's base coat with patterns and colors. It was discontinued due to technical issues. You can still buy horses with the item already placed though. So if you search the sales for horses with DAs then you can see how some players customized the horse's coat

The only way older players would probably accept DAs back was if the new DA had the new horse shapes as well, and even then I think that would cause a bit of a stir. We already have the VA if you just want the shape. But still, no matter what form DAs would be brought back in, it would cause the value of the existing ones to fall considerably.

Would you rather pay 20+ passes (sometimes even 200+ passes) for a horse with a cool pattern, or pay 2 or so and get to create the horse yourself?

DA stands for Diamond Apple. It was a coat customization BMI that allowed you to let your horse change colours, add stripes and socks and blazes and even leopard patterns to the horse you put it on. Sadly, it was discontinued due to glitches like 5 or so years ago.

There's a filter in the sales for them if you want to see what some look like. It's the apple in the 'More Criteria' section that looks like it's made of Diamond.

We never know when those typse of special offers happen. It is a surprise to everyone apart from the admins and maybe a few mods.

It's the Mini Ride (basically the same thing as the Magic Ride) that is being tested at the moment
