Is the prize worth it, considering it's only until 3100 years? How often does it reach 100%? Thank you in advance x

There are a number of factors that go into the drop rate

First of all if you do get the divine, you MUST put a water of youth on it immediately, it doesn’t affect the drop rate at all but it does double the amount of time you can earn gifts (therefore doubling your gifts) before the horse is too old

(Spoiler tags to take up less space)

Wind strength:
Click to display
The wind strength is a bar with 100 points that can be filled by riding over the ocean
The amount of points you get per ride is different each day, and ranges from -1 to 7.
(with scores -1 and 7 having a 6.25% chance of appearing each day and scores 0 to 6 having a 12.5% chance at appearing each day, it will show this under the bar)

What this means:
If you want to get gifts more frequently and don’t care so much about how long you’ll be getting gifts for, you would then want to work your horse more frequently.
If you want more gifts total and for the perk to last longer then you would skip days that will earn you less points.

Recommendations:
I personally have found a nice middle ground by only working the horse on days earning 4 or more points unless I can fill the bar that day with a lower amount.

For those that want to earn more frequently, I wouldn’t recommend working on a day earning fewer than 3 points because it won’t really speed you up that much, but if you’re really in a rush you could do 2.
I would not ever recommend working on a 1, 0, or -1 point earning day that is a scam

For those who want more gifts in the long run I would suggest 4 to 7 point days or 5 to 7 point days, don’t wait for only 6s and 7s though it’ll take weeks

Rides over the ocean per day:
Click to display
You should add Achilles heel and Philotes’ stroke, these paired with an EC with a water trough and a shower will allow you to ride over the ocean 4 times a day

If you have a decent number of pastry horses you can give the divine Croesus fortune and a kairos dial and feed it in increments of 1. Each time you feed it it has a chance to find a sugar cube (+3 energy) and if you find enough you can squeeze in an extra ride over the ocean (5 rides per day)

METHOD:
1. Groom, feed (1) oat, if you don’t find sugar, feed (1) oat then ride over the ocean for 1 hour
2. Mash, feed (1) fodder 12 times or until the energy bar reaches 83%*, whichever comes first
3. Feed (1) oat until the energy bar reaches 96%**, feed (1) fodder unless the bar is higher than 96%
4. Ride over ocean for 1 hour, carrot, feed (1) fodder until maxed out, feed (1) oat until energy bar is at least 94%
5. Ride over ocean for 2 hours, stroke, stroke, water, ride over ocean for 1 hour

It is important if you do this to keep a close eye on the horses weight, as they are prone to getting too fat, a way to prevent this is by entering low energy competitions on days where you are unsuccessful, or by feeding them only oats (still in (1)) on days where you don’t need 5 rides to fill the meter.

*(optional) if you reach 83% using only 6 or 7 fodder, feed up to 8 (still in increments of 1 though)
**(optional) actually somewhere between 96.0% or 96.4% you can check by going into the competition page (but NOT entering) or if the energy bar jumps from 94% straight to 96%, the latter is the faster method

DISCLAIMER: you have to have quite a few pastry horses for this to be viable, I have 14 currently and I can pull this off about 50% of the time, it also takes a while so it’s not for everyone, I find it worth it but you might not.

NOTE: this also works on Nordics and Solars, with a much higher success rate too, but the exact method differs.

All that aside, the drop rate (which I might be wrong on btw):
Good prize 33%
10 Passes 33%
Other 33% is often a lower value BMI, but is sometimes 3* tack or Equus.

Admittedly this probably would have been more useful a few days ago but better late than never I guess

Aaand I typed so much that I broke the quote thingy, RIP

As for the HoP thing, I found it more convenient than it’s predecessor because the inventory HoPs STAYED selected instead of me having to click them each time lest I spend my passes.

It was also much faster to get through them than the old format, hmm, sure that wasn’t on purpose, hmm

It was WAY less satisfying than the old format though, I’d go back to that in a heartbeat if I had the option.

I am giving an update on Rose Gold, for those who want to contribute to my data collection.

I have 15 and 19 days as drops for Rose Gold, and 17 from a friend, so I am confident that it averages at 17 days per drop, so 80 passes every 34 days just about.

If you have different data please share default smiley :)

It's normal. The first drop of a Japanese horse is 1/3rd of the length of a normal drop.

Hey, so, I was curious. For anyone who goes and finds new spoilers, I think I've mainly seen Nalu do this, how does that work? Like what do you do to find stuff, and how to you know when to try looking for stuff? If there is even timing involved or whatever. I've seen divines, promos, and companions pulled from out of no where and it sounds so spooky to me lol. And I know you can look at new coat submissions before voting even opens, too. Like, I think Nalu found the Cards promo info, and the Rose Gold and Silver Divines without Howrse officially releasing any info. So, just super curious on how that works. I suck at computers and all that stuff, so if it's obvious, sorry!default smiley (lol)

A lot of times it’s on the Twitter feed, and also the testing server for events, the coats show somewhere I just forgot where before the release. But the spoilers for weekend offers I believe those are straight from the Twitter feed, at least that’s where I see them, I just don’t know how to post them default smiley (lol) plus someone else always takes care of it haha

For divines prior to preprod: images of them can sometimes be found by playing with the urls. It's easiers if a new divine is from an existing set, because that limits the possible names of the divine, and what you can use in the link. And then preprod opens, so we can get all the details

For weekend promos: Howrse usually posts the preview image (what Rogin posted above) on Thursdays via their social media pages, like Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

For coat release previews: a few other servers have their early coat release a few hours before this server. Once their release happens you can look in their creation directory to view the new coats. The VIP early release perk is not needed to view the coats in the directories. The only time I log in to my Equideow account (one of the servers that releases coats before ours) is to see what the new coats are. I don't have a VIP account there

We are looking at around 5000-6000 passes for Dagda... really expensive for what it drops. I only went for it as it was one of the 2 I was missing for the collection. Frag rate was 40-60ish.

Thanks! This is what I was wondering. I'm pretty sure you can tinker with the creation space to look at coats before voting opens, too. Can't remember how, I think you just input random numbers in the url as well? No idea, I've never done it and don't care to tbh (just prefer to wait for voting, more fun!). But didn't realize you could do that to find new divines and such, too.default smiley 8-)

'Halloween Trip' aka that Journey event with the Hiking Journal horses.
(Not to mention a pretty lame event for Halloween, but I digress...) I think someone posted info about it on one of these pages.default smiley :)

In regards to the Halloween event...

Anyone else find it odd that there's a Little Red Divine and a Little Red Parade Apple coat? The PA coat isn't *called* 'Little Red' but the theme is a little obvious.

Are there any other examples of a Divine with a 'copycat' special coat? I'm blanking but I don't have the best memory for this sort of thing.

I mean, the Evil Witch coat is a blatant rip off of Maleficent lol, but there isn't a divine one. Some of the Urban Legends Wandering Horse coats have rip offs too. The 'Haunted Doll' is clearly Annabelle. The 'Evil Clown' is clearly IT (from the newer movies). None with divine twins, however. There may be some overlap I'm not recalling though, as Howrse takes inspo from cultures, myths, legends, etc. all the time.

Click to display
But the divine is called 'Little Red Riding Hood', so no skirting around anything there. Parade Apple coat is just called 'Red', so maybe they just wanted a shorter name (Isn't 'Red' a nickname? Maybe not, but I feel like I've seen that mentioned before). But not weird to me, the newest PA coats have a similar theme. Unless I'm missing/misunderstanding something lol.

There should be only one more quest to unlock. I'm very curious to see who it might be and if they make Arthur obtainable only by having the others, or whether he is the final one.
