Can anyone explain how long the great challenge is? Does it run alongside the lottery or is it a separate event from the lottery?

The Great Challenge runs first for about 2 weeks or so. You get 3 objectives to complete each day to earn horseshoes, and when you reach a certain number of shoes(thresholds) that's when you get certain prizes). Horseshoes also goes towards the community pot, which will determine how many draws we get per day for the lottery.

The Lottery starts after the GC. You can obtain tickets for each draw that are then automatically entered for that draw, and each draw you get a message telling you what prizes you've won.

I'm not sure if anyone would know this, based on the normal schedule for events, will there be one going on July 7-12? Thank you!

I'd guess "yes," unless the Lottery Clover shop wiggles the schedule a bit. Events typically start on Thursdays, last 3 weekends, and end on Mondays. But with the Clover Shop closing on a Thursday, it's possible they'll wait until the next week to start the next event. But that would still put us at either the 1st or 2nd weekend of an event on the dates you asked about.

No, that info wasn't released during the Instagram voting. Just the results of which divines won out.

Thank you, Legacy Ann. Was there any word on if it would be all of them, or just some?

I had a look back through their story, and I don't see it stated. Unless they mentioned it somewhere else, and I missed it. If it wasn't stated, I'd guess they'd maybe go in order of how the sets fell in the vote ranking.

If anyone's curious, the order was:

Water, Wild, Wind, Egyptian, Chinese, and Plants came in last.
There is a Wild as a prize in the upcoming Cards event, so perhaps they're staggering their release?

But the Wild as prize could be a coincidence, because these events are planned months in advance, and the breed suits the Cards theme. You never know though.

I've heard some rumors about Howrse decreasing the odds of finding aging points when you wake horses up. Or that, the more you farm the less likely you are to find aging points. Does anyone know if this might be true?

I come from the Italian server purposely looking for someone who noticed this! In the past few days I've been getting around 100-115 APs per day (farming 1000 horses) instead of the usual 140-150. default smiley (o)

We don't know, it could be in a month or 6 months from now. We won't know until it is tested.

If they have, we haven't been told. I personally haven't noticed anything, so it's possible you are just having bad luck right now.

It's not about luck anymore.

I'm from Finnish server and I contacted the support and they said that they have indeed decreased the odds of finding aging points when you wake up more horses. So basically you might find up to 90 aging points when you have only waken around 600 horses and you'll find the rest of the 10-20 aging points from the rest 400 horses.

And they also said that they will not inform us about this because it is apparently invisible for most of the players and they didn't want to cause panic sharing this globally. So basically they just want us to buy aging point packages with passes because apparently that is more equal and not so "industrial" way of playing (their words).

Checked out the AP decrease talk today
1000 horses farmed with Shenma trigger - 151 APs found. Seems they have lowered the odds by a bunch yes

So basically I'm getting around 100-100 APs per day, meaning that I'm going to get around 1200-1500 less APs EACH month. If I were to compensate this with AP packs I would need to buy 10 of them (150x10=1500 APs), at a cost of 4900 passes. What was once free, now costs 4900 passes. How where those who blup everyday not supposed to notice this?

And I'm just gonna add one more thing. Howrse might have been thinking that by reducing the number of "farmable" APs for everyone at the same time it wouldn't make a difference, when actually there are players that currently have more than 50k-60k APs, while younger players with a smaller stock of APs will never be able to save so many if they blup on a regular basis. This is just gonna make smaller players unable to compete with bigger and older ones.

Oh ok, wow. Thank you for correcting me.

This is something that should have been announced. I think we all know why they didn't, not because it would cause a panic, but because it would cause a riot of angry players. It is not more "equal", anyone can get an AP farm, not everyone can afford to buy passes to purchase that many APs. Not to mention that the prices for the AP packs are ridiculous. I agree, that people are certainly going to notice as well. This needs to get out, players need to know about this. I mean, come on Howrse, we all know that like several of your more recent changes, this doesn't make things more equal, if anything more unequal. We all know this is just a push to try and get more passes to be bought.

I'm glad I saw all of this, since I was just about to start up an AP farm. Well done getting that information out to the players! I expect Howrse will find some means of selling fodder for passes next. They really can't bring themselves to make anything reasonable for the player anymore. default smiley :@
