New Japanese Divine set. Samurai is the first one

Every day, choose one of the Omikujis they offer and discover your prize.
Samurai is the first Japanese Divine of the series. He will give you Omikujis every day when he wakes up.
Choose one of them and win a prize from among:
1x Chronos' Timer
Another surprise

Explanation: So you pick one Omikuji and get either a Timer or the mystery prize

Event prizes:

The page for the Namazu companion does not exist for the moment, so I'm not sure what skill bonus he'll offer, or how much.

Wow... so now they're making it even more difficult to get the divine AND making a lot of prize slots functionally useless to a lot of players, all while introducing ANOTHER new (likely useless) divine. I'm actually impressed.

It's actually not useless when you think about it. Timers, AP, and other gifts are offered by him.
Passes. You're gonna need SO MANY passes for this divine.

Welp, just by looking at the event it looks costly, yes, but there's actually multipliers for dust in the Event as you naturally progress, so you can get an advantage on that.
Also, you can pick the prize you want so you can just ignore the dust if the Divine is not your cup of tea.

Prizes of the Divine apart from the Timer, for now, seem to be 25 apple seed bags, 100e, 5 ageing points, wood.

I also received coloured tack from the divine. Anyway, it took me around 4000 passes to ccmplete all the 120 rooms as soon as I started the event, I stopped to collect all divine fragments along the way too so I have a hunch that it might be possible to complete it for free if you don't go for the divine. Didn't make the math yet so I might be wrong, in the least finishing won't cost too much since the costs will be mainly the cost of the fleeces necessary to gather the remaining fragments (you can only find about 400-500 from all the rooms)

Ok, you get a total of 665 divine fragments if you get them all + a 2x multiplier for the divine dust, which is normally between 9 and 18... ok, probably some passes will actually be necessary to complete the rooms/get all the dust. I might try some actual math later default smiley xd

I opened 14 fleeces to get the rest of the fragments so you might need passes only if you want to go the extra mile and collect all fragments. Ok, done spamming now!

In regards to the divine:

I love its look. I read some books about samurai and this is pretty close to how I imagined them. Not sure if it is realistic or not, but I still like it.

Sort of weirded out cuz for the first time that I can remember, the divine isn't the jackpot, some companion is. I guess they're really banking on us collectors shelling out to get all the new companions they'll be releasing along with the recruitment of the old ones. default smiley (o)

I don't know if anyone has properly worked out yet if you can get the companion without spending passes. Assuming you can, yes, having the divine not be the prize is weird, but I actually like how it's arranged.

It's funny, last preprod session we were discussing how rare companions might be made available, and I suggested having them as an alternative prize for the best player who didn't use passes. This is not exactly the same (and it's too soon for me to claim any influence on it: sure it was already in planning), but this sort of does that.

Those with more money than time can skip the promo and go straight to the fleeces for the divines.

Those with some passes can go through the promo, and make savings on getting the divine.

And (if it is free) those with no passes can actually have the satisfaction of completing the event and winning a top prize for it.

Nope, but he does give a present every day by the look of it. Seems to be quite a range: AP points, flax, apple seed, equus and coloured tack are what I've got or heard of so far.

Does anyone know what the companion actually gives when applied to a horse? Maybe I didn't see that...

I cant wait for the next promo and the Japanese promo. It is going to be awesome and epic!! So glad howrse is doing some new promos this year. default smiley :-))default smiley :)default smiley (7) So I have a question for the Easter promo; can we win multiple companions? Or is it you only get one companion for your horses of each rabbit, ostrich and hen? I am sorry if my explaining is awful, just difficult for me to explain things.

I agree with @RowanGreen's post.

If it turns out that the promo can be completed without passes, I love the idea of being able to use strategy to "win" and get the jackpot (or another large prize), even if it's not a divine. I haven't bought passes in a while, so it's not feasible for me to try to complete every promo for a new divine. As a collector, I always get excited when there's another interesting prize to go for (new items, companions, reintroduced divines), even if it means spending a limited amount of passes (provided its reasonable and significantly less than the divine, of course).
