I am not certain if the screenshot posted by PuffyPrincess is valid. 1 pass now equals 100 passes? It seems much too good to be true....

I am not so sure that is good news, because if I am reading that right, it will be 100 passes now to get something like a golden apple, instead of one.

We got the same information on the polish server, so I'm pretty sure this is happening on all servers. Clearly there are some communication problems here on international, so maybe the news will be delayed.

It is about time the pass system was updated to make it more flexible, and being able to use the diamonds we get from divines to buy horses in the sales will be brilliant. The re-pricing of BM items might cause some upset depending on how things change because I can see some items increasing in price, but overall is something that has been needed for ages.

I'm dubious about the commision fee for sales, though. I'm reserving judgement until there is more information about it but my initial feeling is that whatever the 'community events' are they probably aren't going to be worth the fee. That may just be my cynicism towards anything Howrse presents as an anti-cheating measure talking, though.

The mention of a common pot for teams and constant availability of competitions to blup horses also looks promising, though judging by how briefly they are mentioned it may be a while before anything is done regarding them.

The pass changes may be kind of good. As a friend of mine said, we may concider paying 1 pass for a Golden Apple, but wont pay that 1 pass for a Pandora Box.So now with the new pass system the price will be better adjusted (GA being more popular could cost 100,and Pandora Box that is less useful and fun to use will cost only 30 or 40 or something).

What is annoying me is the selling/buying taxes.
THe economy will get hit. I love how they put the taxes-looking change under "freedom" lol. Yea Howrse sure.
We went from "you decide what its worth" to "low GP and skilled horses are not worth this kind of price (and forgot said horse had Diamond apple...)" to " sorry guys,you cant put any price you want,now we want you to pay us something because you are cheating". WIthin one year.
Now I have to pay equus and passes-feees everytime I buy a horse. How about a NO.
And pay a fee when I sell a horse. Over my dead soul.

There's going to be a commission fee now?? You've got to be kidding me. I don't mind the pass system being revamped, but now they're charging us for selling stuff? Unless it's a puny amount, this sucks. I don't care about the piggy bank idea, there's not enough active players anyway.
There would be no problem with players trading currency if they would allow it. What kind of game doesn't allow currency trading? Ugh.
I was excited at first, but now I'm just angry.

And before I forget, I hope Howrse will only be lowering the price of black market items, not increasing them. There is nothing in that shop that is underpriced.

Another thing that hits me with the fee is... will anybody buy anything now?

If a seller puts out a horse for sale and pays a fee of XX,that seller will now put the horse for sale for horses worth + the fee they had to pay when they put it out for sale.So the buyer now is paying for the horses worth,+ pays the selling feee AND the buying fee.



DOnt worry,even if the fee isnt displayed ,users will figure out how much fee is paid when and why so they can charge´enough to get back the money they lost when they put it out for sale. It wont take long.


They didnt fix any issue,they are literally getting paid FOR the cheating and unauthorized trading.It may be pixel cash but it dosent make it right.

Our ambassadors told us that they only heard about lowering the prices and also that prices of HoP, TC and GF are planned to remain the same.

It could also be something that is only happening on smaller servers first, the way that only a few servers got the pass horse changes. The smaller servers seem to be Owlient's involuntary guinea pigs for major economic changes.

Although at least this time it looks like the only major sticking point will be the commission fee (and maybe the Black Market prices if the adjustments include anything other than lowering prices), rather than the utter shambles that the pass horse change servers experienced. And even that *might* not be that bad if it is only a small fee. It won't be the first game I've played that had some sort of fee for trading goods (usually something paid by the person accepting the trade) but the fee is usually negligible compared to the value of the trade. If it is a significant fee, however, it will harm what is already a difficult economy - it's hard enough to sell valuable horses as it is, without having to adjust prices to compensate for an exorbitant fee.
