Wow... Um, that's a thing. Don't we already have a Wild Horse that's a Konik? I'm so concerned for this picture though default smiley (lol). It looks like they stuck a regular horse's head from the game and stuck it on a pony-like body and then went to town with the ears and hair default smiley xd I'm not going to want to look at this breed's base, but at least it's a new pony breed. default smiley <:o)

To be honest, I have been looking to take on a new breeding project for quite a while now, but have been waiting for a new breed, so I was quite excited when I heard there was going to be a new breed with new art and a challenging but workable skillset, but then that excitement faded when I saw the art.

Oh no.
I really hope there's still time to fix this base, or maybe stash it for later, if they decide to allow mules? :P

Koniks are one of my favourite horses, and having worked with many of them throughout the years, I am... shocked?

Can we make sure the artist isn't held hostage by a donkey? Because it looks like a serious homage has been paid to these ginormous ears.

Koniks ARE chunky, and primitive looking, but it's just. Not right.

Wild horse's Konik looks like a konik (albeit a bit chubby) but this is just sad.

Wikipedia says:

The breed has a strong and stocky build, small head with a straight profile, and a neck set low out of the chest. The Konik has a deep chest, a thick mane, and the hair coat is blue dun, often colloquially called "mouse-gray

I feel like the only thing they got right, is "stocky build"

Additionally, I'm all for forbidden colours, but
how come we've got friesians who occasionally are chestnuts (not registerable in the breed, but as far as I know, does happen) and on howrse come ONLY in black,

but Koniks?
Where the only acceptable colour is blue dun/mouse grey in various shades and red dun IS in the breed, but is not registerable?
We get chestnuts! Blacks! Which fair enough, those colours appear in the breed. As RED and BLUE dun.

Where did they get light grey from though?
Is there a confusion between mouse grey and light grey?

They might both have grey in the name, but they're not the same thing.

I might not be a howrse artist, but I feel like my version of the new breed is way closer to the breed than... whatever happened up there

I feel like the Howrse artist has mislaid their copy of The Anatomy of the Horse. They can do better than that.

Because that is just... wow. It's a placeholder sketch for the actual finished product, right? Right?

paranoya, you should submit that drawing as a GA coat. It’s pretty good!

Here I am still waiting for a reining breed. . . . . . .

I do like that they are not just recolouring existing bases though

Yes! We need a better Reining breed.

Concerning the new breed...
Click to display
Putting aside the fact that it looks diseased, did Howrse just not do any research? This was copied from a site that tracks the breeding lines of Koniks,

The Konik or Polish Konik, Polish: konik polski, is a Polish breed of pony. They are usually mouse dun or striped dun in color. Black and sorrel horses have been largely selected out, but still appear on occasion.

Blacks and chestnuts are not breed standard, they are ponies not riding horses, and light grey is simply not a color they come in. Someone correct me if my facts are wrong, but it seems Howrse seriously dropped the ball on this one.

I've seen piebald friesans too! There is a friesan farm in N. Carolina that has silver, black, and piebald friesans.

Wikipedia says Mouse-grey or Blue-Grey, so that might have been their source?

In the Repopulation event for "the plains" collection on the Easy setting, Howrse seems to be giving different players different breeds for first horse (Horse of the [blank] breed). Nalu has "Give a horse of the Connemara breed" and I have "Give a horse of the Paint breed." You might not be able to plan ahead for this particular objective.

Is there going to be a final divine for the grails if you have the rest? When I look at my grails before joining a quest it shows that I still need Mordred and that quest, but it also shows a Silver Scroll underneath that which says "Quest Unlocked" like for another divine.

There is some French text at the bottom of the

Repopulation pages in the red banner that I think says the objectives won't necessarily be the same when it goes live. So it's possible more will be different for different players. I haven't translated it to be sure though

I sure hope they remove that retired coat requirement, they are special to those of us that collect them. If there are too many, perhaps stop doing these monster sized releases every month, that would slow them down in a way that doesn't hurt the coats already on the game.

This one makes me angry...that is so not fair! Nobody should be asked to donate an RC for one lousy objective. These are too valuable and beloved by so many. Some players only have a precious few. I don't even need to keep trying to "explain" this...its just plain ridiculous!default smiley :k

If you can earn a joker you can use that in place of an actual horse. So there are options available.

I'm aware, but I'm of the opinion that it shouldn't even be a possibility due to what coat collecting means to the community. At the most, it should be give an unlimited golden apple coat horse.

Is the new divine in The Hike winnable for free? I assume as long as you try not to move left or right too often? A little bit of an underwhelming one, but I also don't breed donkeys with GP in mind.

And the Repopulation event looks fun, but maybe that's because I've never played it. So it's new to me lol. I should be able to complete everything on there, but I'll probably use a joker on the RC one. I love foundies, but that new breed is not worth wasting a GA to get a higher copy I don't care for just to donate it.
