It will not be like this in the live version.

I've opened two HoPs today, and did not receive a draft uni, so I'm guessing players in the live version, which means non-testers, I think, can't get them. I did get Pixiu on my second try, though. Woot woot! Sorry if I'm being confusing. I think I understand, I'm just not familiar with the terms prepod and live version.

I have a lot of Retired Coats that are Pegasus coats that are on ponies (with wings). What will happen to those coats? Click to display That's what I'm thinking, I'm a casual coat collector, and this will make everything complicated (in the CS and trophies, etc) I'm fine with the combined categories. Click to display to recap, the coat will be listed as whichever species wears it the most, but *at this time* it does not look like coats will be removed at all. In my post on the previous page I showed an example of my Thoroughbred Pegasus whose coat became listed as a Pony Pegasus because it must be a majority of pony pegasus that are wearing it. I say "at this point" because we still haven't recieved Admin confirmation that coats won't be removed, but nothing has been removed on preprod even though the species expansion can be seen there.

Click to display I dont like splitting the pegasus and unicorn into two different ga categories each...there seems to be too many different categories already. Ugh. Nor do i like that my kaktos, who I earned and spent passes to get, cant even get me a draft unicorn. Double ugh. Click to display Ugh, I agree with you, this is getting ridiculous. I don't want the Golden Apple to be separated down even further, it's a hassle and not in any way helpful. I also have Kaktos, and I don't have any breed of unicorn that I necessarily want from him, except for the new draft unicorns. It's frustrating that so many of the changes Howrse decides to implement are just problems. I can't remember the last time I actually enjoyed something they announced.

Just to clarify, it's "preprod," not "prepod," as it's short for "preproduction."  Right now, only on preprod can Click to display we get draft unis in HoPs. Testers on the live version can't get them on the live version because the two servers are separate. The HoP offer is likely just for testing purposes only. Normally new species are released in pass offers, but we'll have to see.

About the event currently in testing:
Click to display I agree the prizes are a bit naff. However I feel it's likely it's going to be possible to finish without passes. Games where they have a companion as the end prize always have been so far I think. It's getting the main divine that always costs passes!

Click to display Concerning drafts/draft unis I've always felt it possible that howrse could release a divine with the perk being allowing drafts, and now particularly draft unis (hopefully) to be covered four times, like they did with donkeys. At least I'm hopeful.

So if you are just relying on gathering small amounts of fragments each time, that is probably about how many tries it will take. I opened about 15 Horn of Plentys, and they all had a shire uni in them. This seems to be the case, so if you want shire unis, buy many HoP's while the unis are available in them.

Click to display Is it too early to ask for a pass estimate for the memory event? To get Odin I mean. It took me 32 tries to get him in the Golden Fleece, so if you don't get the mass amount of fragments, it would take around 6400 passes estimated.

@Icyfire2030, yeah I know, we do have rankings for teams of those breeds, but they do not get 1-3 stars at the end of the month, as in no Morpheus arms, chronos timer or zeus lightening bolt for being classified.

@Icyfire2030 They can still use MAs. I personally like the limited breedings. Most people aren't really interested in drafts or donkeys. By making their coverings limited it increases their value. They make little progress because people aren't putting time into them like the top teams. I'm glad howrse did that or they wouldn't have value.

Seriously hoping we can eventually sell divines or that howrse is considering this option
 I have so many useless divines that I dont use or do anything with, would be nice to be able to donate them to players that dont have access to them or cant pay for them etc

But, your message will likely be censored because you're revealing a spoiler that is not out yet. I actually wrote feedback to Owlient about this and I posted in preprod concerning this. In a nutshell, draft and donkey teams do not get ratings (the 1, 2, 3, stars) at the end of the month. So, we get no reward for what we accomplish with our teams. Drafts, donkeys, and unicorns get less rankings displayed (no rosettes per month or top 1000 in grand prix). I definitely think that needs to change. All rankings should display for everyone even if it doesn't seem likely that it would happen. And all teams should benefit for their GP placing if they birthed 20 horses and moved beyond a certain GP. It makes no sense to have this different treatment, in my opinion Click to display And I was very disappointed to see that draft uni's would carry their no-rating handicap. All other uni teams will be rated at the end of the month.
