Three things I just did:
1. Bred a Hera’s Pack’d set of my current favorite Reining cross (50/25/25 MW/GV/TB) with 11500 GP and over 3500 IBS 2. Bought a 12220 GP TB mare for use in breeding higher GP of those crosses (it was a steal- full BLUPed mare only 300K e) 3. Bred a TB/GV cross with 12100 GP- time to BLUP her and breed back to a Marwari! ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have some elements from the last event and I want to use it on a good horse. What crossbreeds would be good for air, water, and earth elements?
|
What comps do Morgans do? Would they make good crosses with Marwaris or TBs? There's different lines I find that can do either Show Jumping or Cross Country. I actually have a Morie (Morgan x Marwari) project, if I remember right I think it did decently for either Reining or Cutting. If bred with a TB, you could end up with something that's decent for Cutting, Barrels, or Reining.
|
So I've been breeding gypsians (friesian and vanner) and their stamina is decent. When I choose western, they do well in Western Pleasure, but what would I show them as in Classical? My laptop died and is currently charging so I am unable to post a link. Thank you in advance for any and all help. If not answered already (had to go back a page to catch up), Going Classical they'd do well with Cross Country since both breeds have Stamina and Dressage in their top 3.

With Water, I'd do any that either has low stamina or high stamina. Earth is decent for most breeds as Dressage is a common skill. Air, I'd do low or high jumping breeds.

Sorry if it seems like I'm spamming. I could use a bit of help with naming a foal. I'm trying to keep it in a similar fashion to her predecessors. I have Legacy, Comeback, Promise, Prequel, Beginning, and Pride. But I'm at a loss of what to call her. Harwell's End would not suite her as she's part of my 'All Breed' project and that's obviously going to go on for a bit.

Playing with foals from Karan, Nukhri's brother from wolfcat111, using some of my favorite low level mares.

Write out the names of parents and grandparents and rearrange the letters themselves until they make sense or sound interesting and fun.

Would a Gypsy Vanner x Arabian be a good cross?
|
What would cross well with a friesian to do well in dressage?
|
What would cross well with a friesian to do well in dressage? I want to say Lusitano? Would a Gypsy Vanner x Arabian be a good cross? It'd be fine cross, both breeds have the same skill set and I couldn't tell you what has a higher GP.

I've got a long line of Connemara crosses and I just won my first rosette with my own crossbred!
Arizona Sky 11186.70 GP, 66.9% Connemara with GV, PP, TB and PSH in there at different %'s I just got a 11726.85 GP filly out of her here which has some super promising genetics, but I didn't tear her. Looking for opinions/suggestions for future breedings/constructive criticism that could help my crosses out. Thanks!

I'm very excited about this guy:
Fools Wish He's all set to beat my top Marwari in the reining prix this week, which could put him in the top 200 Also have a few mares who are suitable mates (next step: raise the stamina and dressage without loosing the gallop!), so give me a little longer and I might be after rosettes and top 100!

First thing I would have said would be do the same again with tears, but I see you already did that (Fool's Wish has an older sis who didn't quite have the IBS to beat my Marwari last week!) It being my current obsession I can't help noticing she's nicely targeted for reining! Don't know if she'd beat pure connies though?
|
@RowanGreen
That's a nice foal you've got there! I plan on making her Western as its been several generations since I've had a good Western skiller. I'll definitely try reining! her current GP is only a couple hundred under the top Connies so with her being skilled, she should be able to beat out unskilled purebreds (hopefully)

I haven't been on here in AGES.
Lol I'm looking to get back into a Marwari x GV/TB cross I was doing a month or so ago, anyone want to help?
|
I crossed a pure paint and a pure Spanish and was wondering if anyone knew if it was a good cross. I also take suggestions for names.
|
Fools Wish made it to 208th place in the reining prix this week. I'd have liked a little higher in the rankings, but he's young, so maybe next week!
|
Hello. I am currently starting crosses. Well I'm trying to figure out if I want to stay pure or cross. I did do my first cross of a Shetland and a Kerry Bog pony. Not a lot of pony's have trotting as their main skill, in fact the Kerry Bog pony had it as it's 4th skill, better than all the rest i suppose because they all had it as their 6th or 5th skill.
anyone have any good ideas for crossing pony's? Should I try experimenting on crossing a pony with a horse?
