What's up?

Find out what the Ambassadors and the game team have been up to

Many of you are probably curious to find out how our work with the Ambassadors is coming along. We are, therefore, pleased to provide you with an update and let you know about some important upcoming changes to the game.

We sent a long survey to the Ambassadors about some changes that we were considering making and asked them to give us their opinions and share any suggestions for improvement. Their feedback was positive, constructive, and very informative. It is time to share their feedback with you...

A profusion of passes!

We intend to completely change the monetization system on Howrse in order to make the game simpler, more flexible, and more streamlined. We plan to implement these changes by the end of this year.

In a nutshell, the passes and the diamonds as you know them will be converted into new passes as follows:

  • 1 pass = 100 new passes
  • 1 diamant = 10 new passes

Greater freedom

All the sources of diamonds will give you new passes that you can choose to re-invest in the Black Market, events, horse sales, or the Pegasus and VIP subscriptions.

To this end, the prices of Black Market items will also be re-evaluated to reflect their actual value as rightly suggested by the Ambassadors.

As for you, you will enjoy greater freedom with horse sales, you will be able to set lower prices compared to 1 old pass, and get a better price from your horse without using up huge amounts of Equus.

Community Piggy Bank

In order to combat cheating and unauthorized trading of passes, a commission fee in Equus and in new passes will be implemented during the horse sales.

Each sale will build up a community piggy bank that will unlock several community events, which we and the Ambassadors are keeping secret...

And much more...

The Ambassadors have made numerous suggestions that we have looked at carefully.

Therefore, some of the upcoming improvements you can expect to see include:

  • A common pot for teams
  • Constant availability of competitions to blup your horses
  • The ability to update the most divine skills with the new passes
  • Equestrian centers on the mobile version (available in 2019)
  • More options for co-management mode (available in 2019)
  • ...

See you soon for these new changes and much more!

We need you!

Take part in the evolution of the game by becoming an Ambassador.

We have been collecting your opinions on the game for years, through surveys, ratings, and comments.

Your feedback is extremely valuable to us. As we strive to enhance your game experience and improve gameplay balance in line with technological developments.

However, the large amount of users, the many different cultures, and the diverse opinions involved make our task very complicated, leading to lengthy waiting times.

In the recent annual satisfaction survey, you unanimously remarked that it can be quite difficult and expensive to progress in Howrse.

Therefore, we have decided to act now, WITH you and FOR you, in the least time possible!

This project is particularly important for the future of Howrse, so we hope we can collect your suggestions and advice to work together and make huge strides in the right direction.

We need your help! That's why we are launching the Ambassadors program!

Who are the Ambassadors?

The group is comprised of players from different profiles. They will be elected by the community to work with us on the game.

There will be about one hundred players in total, from all versions of the game.

Ambassadors will represent your interests and give their advice and suggestions regarding the changes we plan to implement on Howrse.

Communication will take place mostly via email and in English.

Applications

Want to become an Ambassador? Great!
You have one week to submit your application from when the dedicated registration page becomes available.

In the meantime, you can already think of a short electoral program. For example, it could be a particular feature of the game or an area for improvement that you believe must be given the highest priority that may help you attract voters.
Be clear and simple; your program is limited to 255 characters.

You can determine your Player profile thanks to a short list of tags we have prepared for you.

Note: given the international nature and dimensions of the group, communication will be mostly via email and in English.

Moreover, all Ambassadors must not disclose the information they receive during the program (including spoilers!) and will be subject to penalties if they do.

Applications will be moderated. Candidates who fail to follow the game's rules of good conduct will face penalties and their application will be rejected.

Eligibility criteria

You can apply as an Ambassador if you meet the following criteria:

  • minimum 30 days of seniority
  • minimum 16 years old
  • minimum 8 karma points
  • Confirmed email address
  • Be fluent in English
  • Agree with our confidentiality terms

Votes

Once the voting starts, you can choose up to 5 candidates. To find the people who best match your needs, you can filter candidates by profile (breeder, competitor, creator, etc.).

The criteria for accessing votes are as follows:

  • minimum 30 days of seniority
  • minimum 8 karma points
  • Confirmed email address

Results

Results will be announced a few weeks after the voting ends.

The number of Ambassadors is not strictly defined. It will depend on the number of candidates and players of each game version.

Moderators who wish to participate will be automatically included in the list of Ambassadors.

The group of Ambassadors will work with us in our future plans.

In summary

  • Applications to be sent from 2018-05-15 to 2018-05-22
  • Votes from 2018-05-22 to 2018-05-29
  • Announcement of your representatives
  • Exchanges between the Howrse team and the Ambassadors in the following months

Ambassadors will represent your interests and be there for you so that the game can evolve under the best possible conditions. You do not need to submit your requests to Ambassadors directly as this will make communication with the team more difficult.

We wish only the best for Howrse!
