Other players will be able to use them to through the use of the Golden Apple. Instructions To create a new coat, you can inspire yourself from existing models present on Howrse. You can use softwares like Photofiltre, Photoshop or Gimp, that are free! But remember you can never copy! Your coat can be realistic or as fantastic and imaginary as you want it to be. In all cases, the coats taken from current game graphics may not be accepted. The coat must be on the standard background. You shouldn’t change its size or format! We will then ensure that your coat is adjusted to the necessary dimensions and we will display it for the Golden Apple.

• Q: How do we draw a coat ?
  R: You can draw a coat for a horse or a pony with any tool but only on the standard background.
• Q: Can I use my Black Pearl many times?
  R: No, a Black Pearl allows you to send 1 coat.
• Q: How many days before my coat is online?
  R: We do get a lot of coats, so treatment delay might be up to 20 days.
• Q: Can other players use the coat I designed on their horses?
  R: Yes. You get 1 pass for every 5 players that pick your coat, limited to 40 passes by coat. The investment you do on a Black Pearl is refunded once 20 players choose your coat.
• Q: On what horses can we use a designed coat?
  R: Only on horses and ponies above 3 years of age.
• Q: Can I sign the coat I designed?
  R: No for better integration in the game. But your name and the name of the coat appear automatically, so all players will be aware that it's your creation!

Reasons for rejection

• Q: I sent a wrong design, can I change it?
  R: Any coat sent by mistake will be cancelled and refunded but please do not abuse.
• Q: My coat was rejected, why?
  R: We are allowed to reject a coat if we feel it's not in Howrse's esthetic codes. Of course, you will get a refund!
• Q: Can I design a background too?
  R: No, the coat shouldn't have a background to ease its integration in the game.
• Q: Can I design a tack too?
  R: No, only a coat will be accepted.
• Q: Can I draw a draft horse?
  R: No, coats are not applicable to draft horse.
• Q: Can I design a horse rider?
  R: No it will be refused.

Abuse

• Q: Can I touch up another player's coat?
  R: No, unless the other player specifically authorize you to.
• Q: Can i take a coat from Howrse and touch it up?
  R: No you can't take a coat from Howrse and touch it up, you'd better be creative.
• Q: What is the sanction in case of abuse?
  R: A player copying or stealing coats will lose 10 karma points.
