Notice to parents and adults in charge
Owlient works to control the contents and messages distributed on the Howrse game. Our customer support professionals and volunteer moderators monitor the community spaces at all times. Technical filters are only set up to eliminate any inappropriate content.
However, it is the responsibility of the parents or adults in charge to guide and monitor young players when they are surfing the Internet, especially:
- When they participate in discussion forums to:
- Reduce the risk of exposure to content that is illegal or likely to be offensive.
- Avoid that minor players give out information that might enable someone to identify them, locate them, or contact them directly (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.).
We encourage you to visit, with your children, sites that explain the rules and risks of the Internet for children.
- To avoid any payment (for the purchase of a "pass") without their authorization, with a payment method that might belong to them.
In this light, Owlient also recommends that parents use parental control software.
Furthermore, parents may at any time request that their child's account be closed by sending an e-mail to the following address: mail@howrse.com, specifying their last name(s), first name, address, relationship (parent, guardian or parental authority).
